A Search for the Intricacies, Beauty and Meaning of Life

 Farzin’s greatest joys…

…stemmed most often from pondering the imaginativeness and vision of humans around the globe.  His wonder emanated from the artist’s ability to infiltrate the mysterious, visualize possibilities and take risks.  Farzin greatly admired the ability to inject change and confusion, broadening the human experience.

Traveling together was a great joy for both of us, enriching our cultural and political experiences as well as refining those insights, for better or worse, into each other.  Farzin tended to be the perfect traveling companion, a man completely comfortable with himself in any environment, open to experiences large and fully because it was his nature and he knew no other way.

Here are just a few of the architectural gems he admired on our travels, books we read together, and music that gave Farzin a sense of joy and tranquility.

Books We Read Together

  1. House of Sand and Fog ~ By Andre Dubus III
  2. Life of Pi ~ By Yann Martel
  3. Report to Greco ~ By Nikos Kazantzakis

Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art

Farzin was intrigued and motivated by those willing to push the boundaries.  He joined a number of avant-garde colleagues, who under the leadership of Architect, Kamran Diba, constructed The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. The Museum houses one of the most valuable collections of Western modern art outside of Europe and the United States.
